MORTALITY

My choosen issue is mortality. This is because as humanswe have the fear of deatt but fail to realise it is innevitable. We live, we die, and a new life is brought into the world.

The picture below is one i took to showcase the beauty of the human body and to show that no matter the amount of "chemicals" we put on ourselves, we are bound to grow old.

This picture is one of a model with a background of an old abandoned building. The darkness of the image is supposed to give a sad and "deathish" feeling. The contrast between the model and the background is somewhat unusual because they dont compliment each other but the work with each other in an unusual manner.

TECHNICAL INFORMATION

This image was taking with my Canon 7d camera with a 50mm 1.8 attached. The lighting situation was all natural light and it was coming from the camera`s right. 

Post processing was done in Photoshop and I did the following to the image to achieve this look.

1. reduce the exposure 
2. decrease the contrast
3. applied gradient map to increase the effect of the entire image.
4. i finally created a spot light effect on the model to make her stand out more from the background.
