Images that inspire me.

There are certain images that inspire me to be a fashion photographer. Some photographers that inspire me are

Authur Elgort: Authur is a world known fashion photographer who has published several books on modelling and photography. His images are ususlly in black and white and have strong contrasts.

Some of his images are shown below.

This image of the two models tells a story as it makes the viewer wonder what the models are looking out.
I also like the interaction between the models because they seem to be communicating but also seem to be concentrating on something else.

The use of black and white in this image works very well as it adds a dramatic effect to the image. The detail on the dress is also impressive.

The lighting of this image seems to be a large source, may be a window and is coming from the camera`s left.

Other pictures from Authur are:

What I like about this image is because the model looks like a lost bride and the location also plays a major part in the image.
The use of color is also important because it helps in showing off the dress and the color of the trees.

In trying to replicate Authurs images, I would be using either a natural window light or a single flash in order to create the contrast shown in his images. The use of the big dresses are also important as it creates a vintage effect to his photographs.
